"Heard anything? I don't think so, why?"
"Well, I heard sounds of people and water somewhere out here, but there is no water in this location. The closest is Rockspur Run a mile away." She feels the explanation is necessary considering how infrequently Klaus visits the forest behind their home.
He hums in thought before suggesting, "Maybe a house was built nearby? And they have a pool?"
Estraeah scoffs. "I think I would know if a wholeass house was built in my woods." She averts her eyes at the swear, her irritation momentarily consuming her.
Moments of silence pass as Klaus considers this, his eyes scanning the surrounding forest. "I think you should just come home, Tree." He stands up and brushes himself off, holding a hand out to Estraeah. She refuses, standing up on her own.
"You don't believe me. Of course not." She shakes her head, turning away from him. If she could convince him to come deeper into the forest, it would change his mind. Although, he might be right. Maybe she should go home.
