Klaus squints at her. "Uh . . . okay? Sure, I'll bite."
Estraeah nods shortly. "Good. Yes. Follow me." She turns on a heel and stalks in the direction of the cave.
Using the map as a guide, the pair retrace her steps back to the pond and cave. The trek goes slower than when Estraeah was on her own, as Klaus struggles with the natural barriers of the undergrowth. Finally, they return to the mysterious area.
"Ohh, a cave. Very interesting," Klaus says as he brushes away sticks and leaves. "Very worth trampling through the woods and nearing death multiple times."
Estraeah glares at him and stomps a foot on the pebbles, sending some scattering. "Klaus, you do not understand. I have never seen this cave or pond before. It is entirely new, and I have explored every inch of this forest."
He pauses and gives her a lingering look. "Are you sure?"
Estraeah nods vehemently. "Absolutely certain. Furthermore, I believe I heard people here before, yet now they are gone."
Klaus investigates the area. Undisturbed pebbles, pristine water, all devoid of signs of life. "Did you check the cave?"
She looks down, kicking at the pebbles beneath her feet. "I wanted to find you first. I'm hesitant to enter, honestly."
He stands and peers in the direction of the cave. "Why? Looks like a regular cave to me."
"Regardless, there could be something in there!!"
He rolls his eyes, doing some quick stretching. "Don't be silly. Out of my way, chicken." He heads for the cave, walking right in.
