Klaus sighs. "Fine, lead the way."
Using the map as a guide, the pair retrace her steps back to the pond and cave. The trek goes slower than when Estraeah was on her own, as Klaus struggles with the natural barriers of the undergrowth. Finally, they return to the mysterious area.
"You weren't kidding," says Klaus as he bends down to look at the pond. "Are you sure you just haven't been over here before?"
Estraeah nods vehemently. "Absolutely certain. Furthermore, I believe I heard people here before, yet now they are gone."
Klaus investigates the area. Undisturbed pebbles, pristine water, all devoid of signs of life. "Did you check the cave?"
She looks down, kicking at the pebbles beneath her feet. "I wanted to find you first. I'm hesitant to enter, honestly."
He stands and peers in the direction of the cave. "Why? Looks like a regular cave to me."
"Regardless, there could be something in there!!"
He rolls his eyes, doing some quick stretching. "Don't be silly. Out of my way, chicken." He heads for the cave, walking right in.
