Klaus keeps a watchful eye out for her as he walks along the forest path, stepping carefully in case she is just around the corner. Although he doesn't necessarily mind if Estraeah discovers him—in fact, he is sure she expects it—she will probably just run away. Klaus’ intention is not to ruin her time outside but instead to just keep an eye out and make sure she is alright.
He slows as he begins to hear the sounds of movement up ahead. Soft footsteps follow the path, steadily heading away. Then they stop, so Klaus does as well. A moment passes, and with renewed vigor the footsteps hasten, breaking out into a run.
